  2. Participate in a short conversation/interview with the youth ministry team

Applications for the upcoming year are due July 31st, 2026.

Peer Leaders are high school students who help lead and serve within our youth ministry. They help create a welcoming environment, mentor younger students, and assist with events, small groups, and retreats.

Peer Leaders aren’t expected to have everything figured out. They are simply students who want to grow in their faith and help others do the same.

Joining our Peer Ministry program provides an opportunity to:

  • Grow as a disciple of Jesus

  • Develop leadership skills

  • Serve your parish community

  • Build strong friendships

  • Make a real impact in the lives of younger students

What Do Peer Leaders Do?

We have three different programs that offer opportunities for Peer Ministry: Ascend (middle school), Summit (High School), and Confirmation. Peer Leaders help support the ministry in many ways, including:

  • Helping lead small group discussions

  • Welcoming new students

  • Helping run games and activities

  • Being positive role models for younger students

  • Praying for and encouraging others

  • Helping run the programs in any way necessary!

Who Can Apply?

Students who:

  • Are currently in high school

  • Are active in our youth ministry

  • Are willing to grow in their faith

  • Can commit to serving regularly

  • Want to support and encourage other students

You do not need to be perfect or know everything about the faith. What matters most is a willing heart and a desire to grow.

Expectations of Peer Leaders

Peer Leaders commit to:

  • Attending leader training meetings

  • Serving at youth ministry events

  • Being a positive example to others
